Our Business Manager is Steve Brown. He is responsible for the administration and non-medical aspects of the practice. If you wish to discuss any matters concerning the operation of the practice he will be pleased to see you.
All our receptionists are here to help you with making appointments, general enquiries, taking messages and giving pathology results.
We have four practice nurses who deal with all aspects of treatment room work including chronic disease management. The practice nurses hold surgeries by appointment and you may see them without seeing the doctor.
Health Care Assistant
We have a health care assistant who holds surgeries by appointment for blood tests, blood pressure checks, ECGs, urine analysis, height and weight measurements.
We have fully trained dispensers who dispense medication for our patients under the supervision of the doctors.
Patients who are confined to their homes and need nursing care may arrange with their doctor for a district nurse to visit. The hospital will normally arrange for a district nurse to visit patients discharged from hospital who still need nursing care. The district nurses call at the surgery every day and messages may be left for them at reception.
These are nurses who have undertaken further training. They are particularly concerned with expectant and new mothers, young children and the elderly. They call regularly and messages may be left for them at reception.
The community midwife holds an antenatal clinic at the surgery and sees expectant mothers in conjunction with the doctors. She also visits at home for antenatal and postnatal care.
