Cervical Screening (Smears)

In line with the NHS screening programme the surgery will undertake examinations for cervical cancer. These are known as cervical smears, and women aged between 25 to 64 are generally invited to attend a cervical smear test. Invitations are sent every three years up to age 49 and then every five years.

Once you have had  a smear test, if you would like to understand better what happens to your results please read Getting Cervical Smear Test Results.
